About

Nasr was rescued by a very kind lady after he and his littermates were the subjects of live animal testing in Egypt.  Nasr had been kept bound and gagged in a sack in-between experiments on him.

One of his ordeals lasted 6 hours were he was tied to the table and injected 500 times with hazardous chemicals burning away the hair and skin on his body.  He has made a good recovery from this horror since being rescued and now lives in a shelter with his brothers and sisters who were also rescued.

He has very striking looks and a great character.  He gets on well with people and dogs.

Anyone adopting him should expect that there could be long term issues arising from what has happened to him, because trauma doesn’t just disappear.

For example he might not like going to the vets or groomers as that might evoke his previous experiences.  That said he is very sweet and handsome and so deserving of a wonderful life.  He is playful but not overly energetic.  He is gentle with both older dogs and puppies at the shelter.  He is very affectionate with humans and loves to cuddle.

He is scheduled to be neutered when he can cope with the vet visit and weighs 16g approx.

Type of Home Needed

A loving home happy to adopt a dog, that need to be taught basic life skills.  Someone who understands that trauma can live on and be willing to work with that.
